Front Desk Receptionist

Tax Defense Partners is seeking a professional, positive personality for our Front Desk. Our Front Desk staff is the first point of contact with our clients, greeting customers, answering inbound calls, assigning phone and email leads, and sorting and assigning mail. Front Desk team members deal with a high call volume and use an Avaya phone system and Microsoft CRM heavily.

Requirements:

• A clear speaking voice

Tax Preparer (Corporate)

Tax Defense Partners’ Tax Preparer (Corporate) is responsible for starting our tax resolution clients off on the right foot. The vast majority of our clients have several years of unfiled returns, so we must bring them into tax filing compliance before we can begin the resolution process. Business tax returns will be the primary focus of this individual. This is an extremely fast-paced, high volume position, so strong communication (verbal and written) skills are a necessity, as are a sense of urgency, attention to detail, patience, and the ability to prioritize. CTEC is required and an Enrolled Agent license would be a big plus.

The Tax Preparer (Corporate) will
• Prepare Tax Returns, including 1040s, 1065s, 1120s, 940s, 941s
• Gain client cooperation to get required information within the necessary time frame to meet taxing authority deadlines and keep the process moving
• Conduct in-depth client interviews by phone
• Work with clients to bring them into tax filing and payment compliance
• Prepare clear and concise letters and emails to clients

In addition to our tax prep software, we use Excel and Microsoft CRM software regularly and need someone who can take detailed notes and input information into these resources. Every case is different, so an interest in learning and personal/professional growth is a huge help.

Penalty Abatement Coordinator

Tax Defense Partners’ philosophy can be summed up in four words: Do the right thing. We treat consumers, clients, and co-workers with respect and work together for a mutually beneficial relationship. Our Penalty Abatement department’s primary task is to help our clients by working to waive the penalties that may eventually overwhelm the original taxes owed.

IRS penalties and interest make owing back taxes much worse the longer unpaid. Tax Defense Partners works tirelessly to resolve our clients’ tax debt, challenging each and every part of that debt: principal, interest and penalties. Often our clients have been unable to file or pay due to circumstances outside their control – illness, natural disaster, or bad advice from previous tax advisors. Our Penalty Abatement department will conduct extensive interviews clients with our clients to see if they may qualify for Penalty Abatement, then draft Reasonable Cause letters, cogently explaining the relevant circumstances to the IRS.

The Penalty Abatement Coordinator will
• Offer administrative support to the rest of the PA team
• Schedule phone interviews with our clients
• Draft reasonable cause letters
• Pull IRS transcripts and analyze/qualify transcripts for penalty abatement

Tax Defense Partners prides itself on its knowledgeable, ethical staff and is happy to announce an opening for a Case Specialist on our Client Services team. The qualified candidate will have an accounting background and, above all else, exceptional communication skills and follow-through.

What We Do:

  • Bring our clients into taxpaying compliance
  • Resolve cases for the lowest amount allowable by law

How We Do It:

  • Listen to our clients and know what questions to ask

What You Need to Be Successful:

Our Sales team (Tax Consultants) offers consumers a comprehensive analysis of their tax situation, options, and potential outcomes, then sells the best service available, allowing our licensed professionals to negotiate the lowest settlement allowable under the law, under terms our clients can afford. Expected earnings for our Tax Consultants are $100,000 and up, with a generous bonus program and excellent benefits.

Sales of tax resolution/controversy services requires a specific knowledge base, and through our training program you will learn everything about our industry and what sets Tax Defense Partners apart from the rest of the field. Financial or legal experience (including tax, credit or debt consolidation) is a big plus!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming leads (no cold calling – we have the horsepower of national advertising behind us)
  • Commit to a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls
  • Identify sales opportunities by qualifying leads through a detailed evaluation of the client’s position and needs; research and recommend solutions we can offer
